For me the most important thing is freedom. For example let's look at TES. I have just installed Freelancer(again) and Ilove it more than Bioshock. Also games like Call of Duty 4, together with Company of Heroes and TES, are one of the best games I have ever played! I can't define why CoD4, the game simply has something what sucks you in, story, graphics, atmosphere it is amazing!

Games are getting shorter and shorter. IMO games need to be longer or have more replay value.
