StarCraft, WarCraft 3, CoH, DoW2 and WiC.

Yeah World In Conflict is still my favorite strategy game of all time, I still play it on a daily basis. Graphically, it is the best looking RTS ever made in my humble opinion.

sins of solar empires has an actice community( that is if you have 4-5 hours free if not more to play 1match)

company of heroes is a SICK game with a learning curve.

i havnt been online that much because im not that good but its pretty active.

also warcraft is probably my fave rts of all time check it out.
