I've used every program mentioned in this thread so far and none are as good as Spyware Terminator. I use a pc religiously and work on and offline and Spyware Terminator is the best free spyware program I've ever used and PC Mag / many enthusiasts put it at #1 as far as spyware removal goes. Even more reliable than Nortan, Macafee, Lavasoft, or any other major brand and it won't cost you a dime.
Put it this way...after having too many trojans and adware etc. from surfing the web anywhere from 6-10 hours a day I had enough of it. So ever since I've used this program early last year I haven't had a single popup, spyware, virus, NOTHING! I also must keep reliability in mind at home because I have important documents and quite a few games with saves.. so I could surely spare the headache of disasters.
Everyone I recommend this to all thank me as they no longer have problems and delete/toss the other garbage software after they try it. I somehow managed clutter up my pc with ad-aware and Zone Alarm in the past (while not using ST). It's all I use and will ever need with it's continously updating realtime definitions. The last thing I like to see is ppl buying these high dollar Sony Vaio/ Dell/ custom gaming setups and junk it up with mediocre removal programs/ firewalls that do nothing but merely razzle dazzle your screen until it's too late and reformatting will be at the end of the inevitable road for many who choose to do so.
Spywareterminator.com - set the program up properly and use the clam integration and have it scan once a day at your preferred time and as long as you don't go too crazy with porn sites you'll be alright.
