I'd go with the Gigabyte DS3 or eVGA's 650i Ultra instead of the S3. 

 Any reason you want the E6300? You should go for the cheaper E4400 (faster than the E6300), or the E6320/E6420.

 You should get a 1GB stick of RAM so you can have more slots for future upgrades.

Well i choose the Gigabyte DS3 + E6300 combo because i've read and saw first hand (from a friend) the overclocking capability of the combo. I mean, you could get the E6300 CPU to 3.2ghz on stock cooling without having problems and the FSB up to 1800+ from its original 1gh. The one friend that has i think almost the same computer got his CPU rated at 9.3ghz with aftermarket cooling, so i'm thinking i can get more out of the E6300 than i would with anyother. I saw benchmarks for a E6300 o'c to 3.2ghz (with stock cooling) and it outperformed the Core 2 Extreme X6800 duel core (at stock speeds) which retails for what, $1000?

If you are overclocking, get the E4300 or E4400 instead.

The E4300 is the cheapest Core 2 Duo, and is easily the best overclocker.

Yep DC rules, it's the best etailer in Canada. I ordered last night 2 gigs of corsair ram pc2-5400 for 70$ CDN. I might get another pair later. 

 I see... but what would overclock nicer/more effectively with aftermarket cooling? Also, wouldn't the E6300's higher FSB balance the lower multiplier factor?BlackStalker
