I'm looking at getting one of these:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMD-X6-FX-6100-3-3Ghz-Gaming-Pc-Computer-1Tb-8Gb-Ddr3-Nvidia-GT-520-1Gb-Saturn-/120812854724?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item1c2101ddc4#ht_4743wt_1181

I've been out of the computer loop for some time now (Having settled for a bog stardard Dell 6 years ago) but am now in need of something a bit better for photo editing and a bit of gaming (Nothing hardcore)

How would you rate this set up for value for money and gaming purposes, and can you recommend anything better for £300?

Bear in mind that I most definitely don't want to build my own PC.

--------------

My current set up is

Intel Core 2 Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

2GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD2400 Pro

250GB HDD

Most of your current PC is fine.

You basically need a bit more ram, a better gpu (so probably better PSU) and maybe a bigger hard drive.

This way you can get a much better PC than the one you linked for less money.

The PC you linked has a terrible graphics card so it would be terrible for gaming.

Even if you just keep your motherboard, CPU and ram (then add more ram) and replace the rest you can do better with £300

It's not the worst I've seen but the GPU is bad. If you are only going to play a few older games then it's fine I guess but when you say "nothing hardcore" do you mean you won't be playing Crysis or you will be playing Crysis but not on max settings? It would help if you posted some games you'll likely be playing but other than graphically intensive games I'd say it's not half bad for the price.

Awful graphics card, not for gaming at all.

You won't get a gaming PC for £300.A wiser investment would be to buy more RAM and a nice graphics card for your current setup.

You could still do better by upgrading your current PC though.
