I don't have much hard rive space to begin with so I really need to get rid of steam, and I mean all of it. I don't want there to be any trace that it was even on my machine. OK that sounded a little wierd but its true. Any files i ever data I ever recieved I want gone. I've heard on other sites this is dang near impossible, but if anyone knows how to do it, I would appreciate it. I guess you could say I'm a little OCD about my Hard drive space, but on my laptop, space is precious. Thanks.

Steam takes up bugger all. I don't want to argue against your OCDness but if it's that bad - reformat your hard drive. But you seriously won't be making much space.

I've got 3.5 TB. If a file or files is measured in MB and not GB I don't even bother deleting it. You're talking about KBs!!!!

1. uninstall steam

2. Navigate to Program Files/Steam or wherever you put it

3. Delete entire steam folder.

yeah.....

uninstalling steam itself isnt going to get you much space. It only takes up a few MB. I think you are lookingto remove your apps. Go inside your stema folder and delete your steam apps. That will remove the games you have downloaded.

Otherwise, go to your control panel and uninstall steam

If you REALLY don't want any traces, you'll need to clear out all your temp folders, and any valve entries in your registry.
