It would take far more than a forum post to compare Chrome to Firefox. If you are interested in Chrome, I recommend reading this: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/
It has the very fast Webkit engine, which is faster than Gecko 1.9 in Firefox (although Firefox will soon be getting an update that will make it's Javascripting substantially faster). Security with Chrome is better than Firefox. The main downsides are that there are no add ons such as Adblock Plus, and it feels very stripped down (although this is a plus for some people). I say give it a try, worst thing that happens is you just go back to using Firefox.
I readed an article from german police a while ago and they were saying to avoid google chrome as it can potentially collect personal information without telling you and an hacker could possibly use it to steal information in it's current state. It makes sense that google would use the browser to collect data, they have to make money after all ;)
I use Chrome, FF and Safari 4beta. All of them are very good. Safari is 100% comlete browser (Passed ACID Test with 100 score). FF is the leader with so many plugins, extensions, add-ons. Chrome is the fastest. I use mainly Chrome (beta) now which is my primary browser. For online financial transactions - I rely on FF3 and Safari is for GameSpot (Believe me, for me Safari gives me best performance for GS) and few other sites. Internet Explorer - What is that? :P
