[QUOTE="mfsa"]I think he's either gay or a paedophile because no matter how often I crouch by Alyx's ass ant hit the use key, nothing happens.lenson
Try Barney then.
lmao
seriously, tho...I think he would be quiet and would appear shy, but is confident. Like me lol.
That would be your personality, or whoever decides to pick up the game and play it's personality. Gordon does not have a personality in the game because when you play it, "you are gordon, gordon is you." I don't see how so many people fail to realize this concept and claim Half-Life has no story because it's not spoon fed to them.-keola-
I disagree. In the game, Gordon is known as "the last free man." He is fighting for the freedom of the human race. These are story elements created by Valve and they certainly tell you something about the type of person Gordon Freeman is. He is also regarded as a brilliant scientist by the characters he interacts with in the game. And he risks his life for his friends. Just because you don't find out about Gordon from his own mouth doesn't mean he's a blank. Clearly he's a brave, caring, intelligent person with a sense of justice and a will to act on it.

I agree with you to a point, the developers have to guide you as gordon to a degree to progress the storyline. Gordon is portrayed as a well intended hero in a sense throughout the game, but none of them know how many scientists i've murdered myself back in Black Mesa just for the fun of it? or how I just stood back and enjoyed watching the alien threat rip them to shreds, they don't know that maybe I was just trying to save my own ass throughout the black mesa incident.
Do you see what i'm getting at? the characters have their own idea of who they think you as gordon really is, but it's up to you to act upon it or just play along and go back to your murderous rampage and taking care of yourself again. I really hope they decide to do alternate endings again before the end of the Half-Life series.
big time nerd. i mean, you'd have to be to have a ph.d. in theoretical physics. that's probably why he never speaks when spoken to by alyx; he gets all shy and awkward when girls talk to him. hyuk, hyuk, she pressed her...boobies against me when she hugged me that time. hyuk, hyuk. boobies...fireandcloud
Beauty and the geek, eh? Then again, Alyx has got to be quite a nerd herself to have the know-how to design and modify Dog over the years.

yeah, but she's hot. there's nothing hotter than a hot nerd. that's a scientific fact.

I am a certified scientition and I can confirm this to be true.
What are your (Serious) suggestions as to what Gordon's Personality would really be like in real life? biggest_loserThats the beuty of HALF-LIFE universe GORDON's persoanlity is made by the characters surrounding himt .... & wow what quality of characters :D ! Thats another reasson that its so hard to get near to VALVE's Throne of FPS KING !

Overanalyze much?
Quiet type. You know the ones that never say a word. Probably beaten as a kid. Till one day he just snapped and picked up a crowbar...lenson
I second that. That must be the reason why he always kills all the scientists for no reason. I always leave the Barneys alive, though... No, I mean, HE does and not me. I'm not talking about me! I would never brutally murder innocent scientists with a crowbar!
But seriously, it's like other people have already said, the player is Gordon. So just sum up your own personality and you will know Gordon's. But I guess we can agree on some things:
1. He's a mute. No matter what you do, you can never ask Alyx to have sex with you because Gordon can't say anything.
2. His social skills suck. He doesn't get all the hints that Alyx is giving him.
2b. Or maybe he really is gay Hmm...
3. If you sum up the above, you will come to the conslusion that he's a sociopath. That would also explain why he likes killing scientists.
So Gordon is a gay sociopath... Makes sense, doesn't it?

It all depends on how you play your game.
