What are some games that are just down right brutal?

I've heard that manhunt 2's pc version is supposed to be the most violent game ever.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway is also very gory. You can literally cut off parts of the enemies and watch their guts spill on the ground.

This^ Back then that game was one of the most disturbing things out there. zombies standing back up, their heads getting blow away, severed heads on the ground blinking their eyes.Corpses moving their legs, and totally messed up corpses hanging on the walls.

Also that, especially in the first one that you can shoot someone with the magnum and see their guts falling out, also blow up arms and legs with the shotguns. Actually if you take a look at doom and the deaths of the monsters, they are pretty gruesome. its suprising how games go backwards on gore nowadays.
