Got 80$ to spend, should I get MW2 or MW1?

I'll get a game today and I got 80$ to spend. Should I get MW2 or MW1? MW1 is 10$ cheaper(49.99) than MW2 but i heard the MP will be bad because of the lack of dedicated servers which will cause unkickble hackers and more. Plus, I heard that the future extra content such as guns, perks, maps will cost money. Should I still get it or buy MW1 instead? I had MW1 on my 360 and I really liked it, will I love the PC version? Thanks.

MW1 is your best bet.

Definitely Modern Warfare 2!

That's a tough call. MW1 definitely has longer legs, due to user made maps and modability. I'm trying MW2, and while I'm having fun, it sucks not having DS where you know you'll get good ping and the maps/modes you want. The game doesn't seem to improve much on MW1.

So that's $31.50 Canadian dollars.... I'd go with steam.

If you already had MW 1 on 360. Just get MW 2 for PC or 360. But if wanna play online. Get MW 1 on PC.

That's strange because we get it here in Australia even though Activision jacked the price of MW2 up to $89.99USD for us.

If you already had MW 1 on 360. Just get MW 2 for PC or 360. But if wanna play online. Get MW 1 on PC.

I would say get MW1 just so you could experience the greatness of mods and insane player caps.

However, if you decide on getting MW2, I'd advise getting it on your 360. It's the EXACT same thing that it is on PC, except you have , literally, hundreds of thousands more players which makes finding games much easier.

MW1 is your best bet.

I would highly advise you to consider otherwise.

Yes, the MW2 multiplayer is not the worst thing to happen as many have said, but it is nothing like the first MW.

There's reasons why people are mad about this.

Dedicated servers and mods made the game better.

EVERYONE thought so. (That video almost makes me cry in retrospect.)

Sure you may not have all the fancy new stuff like Dual Wielding or Nukes to end the game, but it's just not the same.

To put it simply:

COD 4: Modern Warefare 1 was a great PC game.

COD4 : Modern Warefare 2 is a great game.

So far mp has run smoothly on pc for me, no lag and no hackers (so far)

well I still enjoy playing CoD 4 multiplayer but so far I'm enjoying Modern Warfare 2 singleplayer alot plus its got Co-op in which you can play with 3 other friends in missions.

id just get modern warfare 2 on pc. Dont listen to these angry nerds lol, I just picture the angry video game nerd going off about lack of dedicated servers. Mods and dedicated servers are not the only things that make pc versions superior, controls, graphics are so much better on pc its almost a different game.

If you play consoles then MW2 but theres loads of people playing MW1 on the PC and it has dedicated servers and up to 64 players.

I wouldn't get either one personally.. MW1 was one of the most over-rated games I have ever played imo.. With linear, generic singleplayer campaign, with the stereotypical modern day badguys, and the typical Tom Clancy story line.. Brain dead as well as cheating AI.. Packaged with a basic average multiplayer.. The only thing the game had was good "theater" pieces where you had little control of to begin with... From what I have seen of MW2, it seems to be no different. This is must my opinion.sSubZerOo

Its less linear then the first in terms of level size. Most games nowadays are linear and I don't see how thats a bad thing. :?
