Got vista the other day.

I think its alright. It runs all my games fine withought any issues. I dont know why everyone is against it so much. I was skeptical about it at first but now i like it. You really dont need a very good PC to run it either. Here are my specs:

Intel Pentium 4 2.6ghz

XFX Geforce 6800GS/XT

1Gb of RAM

200GB HDD

Only game i have a bit of trouble with is Titan quest with addon. The pet from dream profession can make game freeze because of its area nuke that does alot of fancy graphic stuff and computer starts loading like crazy and is slow whith the lighting at end of act 5.

I have vista ultimate which i used about 2 days. Then i went back to xp.

Why? Because it was laggy and hogging too much resources even when i run a high end computer. Dont worry i didnt pay for it...

weird. cos mine works just fine. even boots as fast (if not even faster) than my XP.

using AMD 64 X2 4200+, 3GB DDR2 and NVIDIA 7900 GS. i wouldn't even call this a high end rig yet with todays standards. you might get problems when running it with 1GB or less RAM though (wich definetly ain't high-end anymore).

That would be a display driver issue. Some companies are having real issues making stable drivers for Vista. It will even out before long.
