yeah but is it celsius?wooz101
Its celsius. Once you get to 90C, back off the OC. Right now I'm running at 48C. Sadly, the X1950 Pro crashes when I OC.
I was asking the above poster if he was reading his temps with celcius or farenheit. 110 sounds pretty extreme.wooz101
Lol it is.
Do you think I should overclock? I have vista 64 bit and atitool doesn't work :( Any good programs?wooz101
Use Coolbits. It is a registry hack, that lets you overclock your card with the NVidia Control Panel.
GPUs can handle a lot more heat than processors.. so you're fine :)
My X1950Pro also doesn't seem to like being OC'd :(
60C is fine... pretty low actually.Sandro909
lol, thats how hot my GPU gets on load. Just hate how it crashes if you OC it (X1950Pro).

What are you loading with?
Idle mine is usually under 55C, but load using Ati Tool it goes up around 80!
To my knowledge, you need to raise to volts on a X1950PRO to OC it, which is a bad idea for many reasons.kodex1717
Eh.. I'm interested :D

Sorry, with a fair bit of googling and searching my post history I was unable to find the tutorial someone linked. I'm sure you'd find it eventually with google if you wanted to look for it.[QUOTE="skinnypete91"][QUOTE="kodex1717"]To my knowledge, you need to raise to volts on a X1950PRO to OC it, which is a bad idea for many reasons.kodex1717
