GPU heating up?

Hey guys,

PC specs real quickly

-GPU XFX GTX 260/216 core black edition (Not OC'd)

-Mobo Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

-Case Raidmox Smilodon II

Randomly my gpu fan speed starts increasing i check from evga precision and my GPU is at 86 celsius, with fan gradually increasing from 60-75ish, strange thing is i only have WoW on and that is scrolled down. Normally my fan speed doesnt automatically increase anytime when it needs to (if it gets to 100 celsius it will still be at 40 idle fan speed and my pc will crash) This never happens to me especially when I have wow scrolled down , even when im playing it i keep fan speed at 40 and the gpu temp goes only up to 65 max. Now it is idle at 58 when i closed wow down, what could be the reason for this mad increase in temperature?

Somehow I also having the similar problem with my 9800gtx+... GPU heating up for unknown reason but my case is only the max temperature instead of the min.
I remember when starting my gpu only reach 72'C as max, after that it rises through out the time until 82'C and sometime could reach 85'C currently. Is about 10'C increase in 4 months.
