erhhmm , idk if its dumb to ask this but here goes ...

If i would crossfire my HD 4890 from Powercoler .. For my second card , does it have to be from powercolor aswell ?

( took 4890 as an example , same question applies for other cards)

Basicly im asking if the 2 cards MUST be from same company brand in order to SLI/Crossfire ?

It can be any 4890 (or even another card from the 48XX generation).

Nah, they can be released by different companies. In fact, with ATI, the cards can be completely different models ;)

Crossfire is a bit more flexible than SLI. SLI you need two of the same card (doesn't need to be same brand though).
