Considering is a coolermaster thus a quality PSU i would say yes its enough for the 4850 also the 4850 is a great card ( i dont think is gonna last you 3 years for high settings gaming but lets say it will last you 12-18 months for high settings gaming always using reasonable resolutions and low or no AA for Pc exclusives while it will prob last you 2-3 years for mostly high settings gaming when comes to multiplats besides you can always change it for a better $80-100 vga in 2-3 years) It will probably be ok even for the 4870 but i wouldnt be 100% sure about that

Thank you for the advice. Appreciate it. I was asking as all the sites suggest 450-500w or above from reputable psu makers these days.

Hmm that might be stretching it a bit. You might want to get like a 500 watt PSU because then you have more options.

Those card recommendations might be stretching the power supply a bit thin. I would upgrade the power supply, like UltimateGamer95 said, to something around 500 or greater. One of the problems with just skimping by on wattage is that if you add extra peripherals like DVD drives or even USB your going to push your power supply over and you computer could crash or worse yet you might fry your rig.

id be a whole lot safer with you getting a gts 250 or 150 or an hd 4770

Agreed. All three cards of lower wattage requirements.

The PSU has incredily low 12V rail wattage at 216W, which is only about 18A. I'm afraid your best choice is a HD 4770.

The best thing to do in the end would be to upgrade both you PSU and GPU. This solution would offer greater stability and ease of upgrading in the future allowing for higher end GPU's and more peripherals. At 390 watts you've got a pretty weak PSU and upgrading the GPU is going to strain you PSU. If your going to upgrade do it the right way so you don't have spend more money in the end.

Thanks i'll get the 4770 now. I don't want to replace the psu as it came with the comp only 2 months ago. The guy who suggested it probably won't change it.

Some people say the 4770 also consumes a lot of power. true?

Let's hope the psu is enough.

Actually, the minimum for RE5 is a 2400 Pro. The 4850 is listed as a recommended GPU; however, the 4770 should still run it fairly well.
