Can you tell me a graphics card that can run Empire:Total War on good settings?

Thanks.

PS (limited budget).

Well, I know a guy with a Nvidia 7300 that can run it, so a 9800GTX might be good for it.

Haha I have a friend playing it on a 7600gt and he barely manages playable frame rates with all settings on low @ 1024x768, so it must be pretty painful to play it on a 7300! Anyway to the OP, I have a 4850 which is playable with all settings at ultra/very high, Depth of Field, and all the other little settings on at a res of 1280x1024. So I would recommend a 4850, 4770 or 9800GTX to play this game with all settings at very high at that res or lower.

you need more than a graphics card.. but i'd say a good bet would be a 4770.

You can get an HIS Radeon HD4890 for like..$240 on Newegg. That's a hell of a deal if you ask me.

I play it on a crappy 8600gt. I manage to play it at a steady 25-30fps on 1280x1024 with near enough everything on medium (aside from shadows) and no AA as long as I don't zoom too close into the battles :P On topic, a HD4770 would be good.

Would a GigaByte GeForce 9400 GT 1GB PCI-E HDMI run the game well?

Most everything maxed out at 1680x1050. With the right CPU/RAM combination probably perfectly.

my laptop: mobile ati radeon 3400 runs it on all medium, 1600 x 900, 2x aa, trilinear, and a few options at the bottom turned on can't remember which ones at the moment, the only thing that is not on medium settings is the grass which i turned to off or low can't remember . Runs very smoothly unless its 3500+units. Rest of specs are: 2.5ghz core 2 duo, 4gb ram, vista 64, and ati radeon 3400.
