Hi everyone. I plan on getting a new graphics card for my computer but i know very little about computers. I looked online and i tthink i can figure out how to install a new one if i get one but what confuses me is whether its compatible with my computer or not. I saw people talking about whether your computer can handle it or not and about psu(?) and i just wanted to make sure that i dont go out and buy a graphics card and it ends up not working on my computer. I have a Dell DXP061 (dont know if that helps) and i can give you other specs of my computer ifi need to (you'll just have to tell me what). My current gc is a Ge Force 8600 gts. ty in advance

Instead of actually putting the specs (as you seem to know make all the diffrence) while writing and making a topic you let folks guess. That is not a good way to get good awnsers here.

Im not quitte sure where to look (is it in my dxdiag)? and thank you to the other person who commented with the link. Is that a good gaming gc? Ok, you should download CPUID, that will tell just about anything but the PSU. CPU model: motherboard: the link interface it has with the graphic card. (like "pcie x16" or "AGP x8") The PSU can only be determin by open up the case. There should be a sticker on it, post all it says. Even the specific modelnumber can make diffrence, there may be diffrent revisions with diffrent amount of cables neede to run a graphic card.
