I just got neverwinter nights 2 and it refuses to work. It installs just fine but when I try to run it it says that my graphics card dosen't have 3d acceleration and/or its shut off and I should turn it on. My graphics card is a geforce 8400 gs, and I am running on windows 7. can someone please help me?

8400 gs is a really bad card I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't have it.

Any graphics card made in the last 10 years has 3D acceleration. That's a very weird problem you're having...I was only able to find one example of a similar issue, here: http://forums.nvidia.com/lofiversion/index.php?t54921.html. That guy ended up reformatting to fix his issue.

My guess is that it's windows 7. After all it's only a beta.

Certainly a possibility, although the release candidate (which I have been using) has thus far proven to be remarkably compatible.

Have you removed your previous Nvidia driver package, reboot, and installed the latest drivers?

I went to biowares forums (which is what I probably should have done in the first place), and found that I am not the only one having this problem. It is indeed windows 7 (though everything else I have installed works). I haven't had a chance to read the hole thing yet but I am hoping someone found a solution.
