I would actually go for a bit more. GTX670 and a new PSU just in case, cause I see Company2 having lots happening on screen (CPU has to be strong too). Just check the price differences and your budget of course.

the 670 is ideal but a bit out of my price range as i would also need to upgrande my PSU and probably my cpu as well but i think the 660 will be able to do the job,

oh and do you know what sort of power cable the 660 takes eg. 6 pin, 4 pin etc

I bought my Galaxy gtx 660 for $229. Theres a $10 mail in rebate so its $220 now. It has one 6 pin connector.

I can run Crysis 2 at max settings at 1080p. I average probably around 40 frames or so. Its a pretty demanding game on ultra settings.

For company of heroes 2, I'd get a new CPU too.

I'd wait until around the game is actually released to upgrade, that way you will be able to get more powerful parts for the same price or cheaper than you can now.

How much can it deliver through the 12v rail?

well on the side it says

AC input: 115v/230v 10A/5A 50-69Hz

Dc Output: +12v +5v +3.3v -5v -12v +5vsb

Current: 16A 30A 30A 0.5A 0.5A 2A

max Output power: 420W

is this powerful enough to run a 660

thanks

Not even close, especially since nearly every major component transforms it's power from the 12v rail nowadays...

I would get a new PSU like Corsair CX430 or Antec Earthwatts 380, and the HD 7850 GPU. Should land somewhere around 200 USD. The 7850 isn't much slower that the 660 in most games.

Ouch. Sorry, dude, you'll need a new PSU. Get one with 550-600W.

I wouldn't go with the 650. It's a LOT weaker than the 660.
