Is this PC a pre-built (Dell, HP, etc)? If so, tell us the model number. If not can you list the components (CPU, mobo, PSU mainly)? I want to verify that everything is compatible before going into anything else.

It's probably worth double checking all the connections as well. Just in case something came loose.

It is pre-built, the cpu is a dual core pentium 2.00 ghz and the PSU is 500 watt.

Uninstall the old GPU drivers, take out the GPU, put new one in, install new drivers.

Based on the OP, I'm under the impression that his PC won't even start. No power.

Maybe TC could clarify (& tell us the model number at the same time :P ).

Check to make sure all components are firmly seated in.

We've made sure the card is firmly sealed in, no it doesn't have a power connector.

Does your motherboard even has a PCI-E x16 slot?

Yes it has a PCI-E 16 slot. When he starts the computer the power does come on but it won't get into windows.

If you were previously using onboard (integrated) video you have to disable it within the bios.

Does the HD 5670 fan turn when you boot the PC?

Do you see anything at all when you boot the PC?
