what is the difference between a VC GDDR and A VC DDR?

coz when i browse some shops in a mall in singapore, i did find a VC 512mb geforce 7600GS 256-bit GDDR $189 singapore dollars.

and i also found this: 256mb geforce 7600GS 128-bit  DDR $179 sinapore dollars.

Not important, GDDR is somewhat different than regular DDR.

the 256-bit is the memory interface, the bigger, the better. bigger interface = better memory bandwidth = bettercard.

also Gddr is supposed to be faster.

noooooo, for now, @ least buy a 7600Gt, or a 7900Gs.

Got more money, get the best card: the 8800GTS for 250 only.

what is your question? no u shouldnt get that card, basically its worth nothing in games, so i suggest u buy a card called 7600GT. it's has almost the same price, btw man 1 USD = ? SINGAPORE D?

first of all, DDR is solely pc ram, GDDR (G denotes Graphics) is the ram you find on graphics cards, and there is GDDR1,2,3, and 4, GDDR3 being the common among highend cards, GDDR4 in AMD/ATI's high end (X1950XTX), GDDR 1 & 2 are in the entry level and midrange cards usually.Â
