hey guys just looking for some programs to test the stability of OC's on a GPU and also to tell me if i get better performance with the clocks or without them

Download furmark. The only GPU stress testing program that pushes GPU to its limits. U can get it at guru3d.com/downloads

Furmark will push your graphics card harder than any real application ever will, be careful to watch your temperatures.

In terms of benchmarking, I use 3DMark but some games have inbuilt benchmarking tools that you could use, I think Crysis has one.

World in Conflict is really useful too. It has a Benchmark option, including a nuke explosion which stresses the GPU quite alot.

Furmark will push your graphics card harder than any real application ever will, be careful to watch your temperatures.

In terms of benchmarking, I use 3DMark but some games have inbuilt benchmarking tools that you could use, I think Crysis has one.

Agreed. I actually suggest avoiding Furmark for the 4870 and 4890, as it has the tendancy to push the VREG temperatures to enormously high levels.

ah ok would it be alright on Sli'd 260's? im just trying to test the GPU's to get more bang for my buck i no it wont make a huge huge difference but even a couple of frames can help here and there =)

I've never tried it on a GTX260, but I'm guessing it'll be fine considering it doesn't use those tiny little regulators. Just keep an eye on the temperatures, and don't run it 24/7.
