GTA 4 startup, no signal...?

I just recieved my copy of gta 4 and I finished installing it. I went to start it and the screen goes blank and says out of range (no signal). I take it, it's because my it's starting in a unsupported resouloution or something? Please help guys, Cheers

Specs:

OS: Windows 7 ultimate

CPU: 9850 phenom quad core

Ram: 4gb

GPU: Nvidia 8800GTS

Just thought I would add, OS is 32bit

Also, I can hear the sound in the background so it's just the picture thats blank. Any help guys?

try deleting the settings.cfg file, I cant remember where it is under windows 7 since im on an xp computer right now... but in xp its at C:\Documents and Settings\{YOUR USERNAME}\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Settings. Yeah, I've been playing arma 2 with no problems what so ever.

Didn't work... Anymore ideas anyone? I really wanna play :(

I currently have my resoloution set to 1024x768 if that is any help.

I just looked up on google and apparently it just resets all settings to default including the resoloution to 800x600. I have just tried starting it in normal mode after being in safe mode and it now works :D Thanks for the help
