Yep pirated version.......So you basically paid $10 for something you could have gotten for free. SuperBeastYep.
But it's not a legal version is it - its just a pirated copyAvenger1324
Nope dude. It's original and I've seen the retail box in various CD/DVD stores. Btw, I'm from India too!
GTA IV indeed priced INR499/- ($10 as per current conversion rate) in India. I've not bought it because of numerous problem I've read in many gaming forums but once R* releases a patch, then I'll buy it.
I don't know the reason why GTAIV is so low priced in India while Crysis priced INR 1000/- (~ $20) now. $10 for a newly released game in India is really cheap. Either they're trying to tackle piracy or they knew this game is not gonna work well so price it low (:D)
Guys, don't make this topic useless. Stop telling what's the cost of pirated games, movie. All educated people know how much someone has to pay for pirated CD/DVDs. Stay on topic.
And for International friends, yes it is true - GTA4 costs $10 in India at retail stores. Few stores even selling it @ 10% discount. :D
$10 is pretty cheap but it's rather pointless when you say India or any other country because every place is bound to have a degree of difference in currencies and their real value when compared with other countries :)brandeyep
you're right. anyway, the price which has been set for GTA IV is quite cheap as far Indian economy is concerned. Any gamer can afford it.
Just my 2 cents.

....and 10000 million to play it!Totally agreed, seems that R* knew that GTA IV was gonna be a letdown for us PC users, because of its many said bugs and that crazy requirements. Also, they are so "cool" that they admit that they knew that GTA IV couldnt run properly (or on high deatil) in any hardware available today, they "thinked in future technologys".
COME ON!!!! what a lame excuse, hows that they qere thinking in the future??? In which kind of machines they tested the game?? What version of the game they gave to the games webs that they give 9 to the game???
I know that i went off topic, sorry but this GTA think pisses me off.

I think they lowered the price to combat the rampat piracy in here
Guys!!! This isnt bogus!! Its true!!! Its priced Rs 499!! Went to a legit store and checked it out. Think its a promotional offer or something. The prices might very well go up aftr 2-3 months. Its ironical tho!! I mean... Gta San Andreas still costs around Rs 999!!!!! And Gta Vice City 699!!!!!!!! Its freakin weird!! But guess its of no use is it?? I mean u really need a very powerful rig to play gta 4 on!!!SwetSSSSahuYeah GTA 4 is one of poorest optimisations i have seen in my entire life.. pitty because its great game
