Hi guys!

I have GTA IV installed on PC, but it runs Slow, somewhere between 15-20 FPS. But I dont understand why! I have a Powerfull PC.

My specs. are:

RAM: 4GB

VIDEO: NVidia Geforce 9800GT 1GB DDR3

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

CPU: Intel Core 2 DUO 2.53 GHZ

HDD: 300 GB

How you see, I got a powerfull PC, I must play Gta IV on "Very High" settings, but I play it on "Medium" settings.

Can someone help me to solve this issuse? Thanks!

GTA4 is very demanding, your PC isnt powerful in comparison to GTA4.

GTA4 is horribly optimized... If you want to run it properly, you're going to need a good Quad Core cpu and the 9800GT is getting kinda old now... Just sayin'.

I can run the game on an 8800GT and a Dual Core, on medium. Stop trying to max the game if its too slow. It still looks great on Medium.

Your CPU is the issue here. You pretty much need a quad-core to play GTA IV properly. And be sure to install the latest patch, it makes a big difference.

Your PC isn't as powerful as you think. Your hardware is actually pretty old. I suggest a CPU and graphics card upgrade...and maybe get a bigger harddrive..I would never be able to survive with 300GB of harddrive space

Well, OK, it's playable on a dual core. But with a quad you'll get consistently better performance.

I really don't think that a 9800GT card is enough for GTA4,there is no way you can play it on"very High" settings.

wtf really? Quad core? I got this game the day it came out for PC. It has run flawless for me. amd 64 x2 dual core 6000+ I played it on like medium/high and it looked fantastic. Haven't played it since then and I got a better video card now. seriously it's not demanding at all. I have only heard vista users cry about it. W7 runs flawless baby.

It's "demanding" if you're trying to max it out...read the other posts.

If you really got it the day it came out for PC, then you can't have been using Windows 7 all the time.

Grand Theft Auto IV is very demanding, you need a better Video Card and CPU to run it on very high and to get a good FPS
