GTA IV Police improvement ideas

Hey fellas, just a quick idea of mine, wouldn't it be great if the police in GTA were more, well, realistic? What I mean by this is, it is all too easy to lose your wanted level in GTA IV by simply goin out of thier line of sight, but the police aren't very, strategical, they dont attempt to block you in while your on foot except for roadblocks and shooting at you. Like they don't chase you over fences or have it so that 2 cops stand at the end of an alley waiting for you at the bottom of it. thier driving patterns could also be slightly better, roadblocks are good, and they do thier best to mow you down, but what about the game figuring out which street yer goin into, and the cops radio each other soze that thier ae more cars standing by ready to block you when you go down them streets?

They just run after you and don't use tactics all that much, how about police dogs? now they'd be fun. Not sure howthis'd affect gameplay but just an idea to get your thoughts on this subject fellas.

Now I'm starting to wonder if my PS3 Copy of the game is unique in therms of Police AI. They use elaborate tactics with my game, try to cut me off with their cars and stick to me like a leech, aswell as have officers that stand on sidewalks and seems to radio the others that I've just driven past them, throwing me back into the police area. Granted it isn't as Realistic as possible but af far as I'm concerned it is about as realistic as possible in a videogame.Treflis

Foot patrol officers

Could do with bringin the militery back and the police dogs'd be great fun.

Haha. Police AI. When I get chased at the bridge, they end up falling off the bridge because their Hummer police car likes to bash everyone off the road....for just one guy!

IMO, they shoot way to much, for example i rammed a cop car by accident and i get out of my car WITHOUT a gun ansd the cop just starts shooting me, however there should be an option to pay the damages etc.

Yeah agreed, would be great if it was like Mafia where you can pull over and pay a ticket.... because sometimes lets face it, you're just not in the mood.

In my opinion getting rid of the military was a good idea on their part, it was like a wall you hit when you reached 6 stars.
