Miracles of laptops, i7 processor, 8 gigs of DDR 3, integrated Intel GPU, not even an integrated ATI or Nvidia.

Well is there a single way I can keep the game and play successfully since I was really excited about this game and I blew 20 bucks on it AND waited 12 hours for it to download. So is there a fix or something?

Then maybe you'll notice that perhaps your laptop has ass hardware for gaming. i7, 8GB of RAM...and Intel "HD" Graphics. Putting the HD in there is almost a joke.

Can't upgrade the graphics in that laptop. Can't upgrade the graphics in most laptops.

If you haven't played it, it's a good game.

Your laptop is not for gaming...you will be ble to play only games that are 5 years or 10 years old...return the laptop and buy a PC...or do not game on that laptop

There is no way that GPU will ever play GTA IV. I don't understand manufacturers. i7 CPU, 8GM RAM and an Intel graphics card? Really??? You've bought the game, so it's tied to your Steam account. Get a actual gaming PC with a strong GPU and you will be able to play GTA IV.

The manufacturers know people will see i7 and HD graphics and think it's good for gaming.

It's an old game, so with low/minimum specs, it should. But I wouldn't guarantee it.

You know, laptops can (should) be used for things other than gaming...

Yeah I have a similar laptop I played San Andreas on. Regardless of setting, your framerate will go from "good" to "choppy and terrible" all the time. Its still a great game, lots of cool mods for it as well (though the game itself is fantastic and deserves a playthrough the story.

Yes, but if you are going to put in 8GM RAM and an i7 CPU you might as well put in a decent GPU. People buying laptops with those specs aren't going to want it for word processing.

Probably not, but they may want a mobile workstation, in which case a GPU isn't going to help, it would just up the cost and lower the battery life.
