Hey fellas

Has an yone ever had this problem? I downloaded 2 mods for san andreas one was for the Suberu Impretza car and the other for the new Chevvy Corvette. I downloaded these mods from I think it was PlanetGTA.com and they both looked to have all the files in place, so I did exactly what the readme files told me to but when I started up the game, it gets halfway through loading and then freezes. Has anyone had this problem with mods before because I used to have the original version 1 copy of San Andreas and I don't know whether the new version I bought is version 2,if it is, can anyone tell me if the second version is un-Moddable or something as my old copy worked fine with mods, anyone know what's going on?

Your version is probably version 2, you can't mod that version.

Download the "SAMI-installer" -program (San Andreas Mod Installer) and try with another mod that is known to work well (some mods are'nt too good). I like the Plymouth Roadrunner 383-mod that was taken from NFS. (I think modders name was Pumpbar.) It works tremendously well and has some amazing reflections, making all other cars look like GTA III.

I've tried to mod ALL cars in SA, but after 30 mods or so, the game becomes almost unplayable. Thing is that the game must read files for different objects in a hurry when you move around, i.e. textures for buildings, new oncoming cars, pedestrians.... therefore it is essential that these files is placed in the right place on your hard drive. There is one tool "rebuilds" the archive, which is a good idea, but let the SAMI do it for you. It's the same fenomenom as with a fragmented hard-disc.
