GTA V: Do you think there will be a PC port?

I hope there will. If they do not make a PC port I will either 1) Stab myself in the heart and upload the video to youtube(Not Possible so I may skip the second part), 2) Buy a PS3/PS4 for it. 3) Boycott GTA and become a Saints Row fanboy(Requires months of hipnosis and psychotherapy because I hate Saints Row due to the annoyingly stupid characters and somewhat gay color schemes), 4) Create a GTA mod for Skyrim or the Elder Scrolls VI(Screw Fallout), 5) Die Alone and cold with no hope for any future GTA games on the PC, Or 6) Forget 5 and pursue 1.

If they don't I'll be really angry. I started playing GTA with GTA:VC on PC and to this date I have played all GTAs on my PC.

Like others have said 6 months is about the wait period for GTA to PC, and don't expect it to be a good port either.

I expect to see GTA V on the PC in late March, or early April 2014.

I wouldn't be SO sure on that. Remember how god-awful GTA:IV was on its PC port? It ran like shit back then... hell, it still runs like shit even today. Some thoughts to consider.

When it comes to a great game like GTA V, then yeah, 4 months is a pretty big difference... also, I have no reason to believe they'll suddenly make PC gamers wait even more, especially after that petition which clearly showed the PC community is very interested in the game (an Internet petition signed 100,000 times is quite an accomplishment).

i'm personally hoping you choose this option...

i will buy it on 360 if it doesn't come out withing a months time for pc. i'm sure it won't be out that soon but eventually it will and i'll purchase it for pc when it's 10 dollars on steam sale. 

and i'll also be enjoying saints row 4 because i'm not homophobic, and can appreciate the silly nature (and characters) of the games.  

Like others have said 6 months is about the wait period for GTA to PC, and don't expect it to be a good port either.

Rockstar is one of the most consistent developers in the gaming industry, and I'm not aware of them ever releasing a flat-out bad game. GTA is a franchise loved by both critics and gamers, and GTA V is shaping up to be great, just like every other GTA game I played. Now, it's true how these PC delays are annoying, but it's not all that bad, since ultimately, all GTA games are best played on the PC due to the mods and large visual/performance advantage. Also, Max Payne 3, last R* game was awesome on the PC right from the start.

Doubt it, they won't make a profit on PC. Millions of people buy games on console, only thousands buy games on PC. Not worth the time or effort imo. I'll get it for PlayStation

GTA IV actually played very well on console, for most people it performed better then on the PC.

Also, no modern console game plays as poorly as you described.

It will happen, it's just a matter of "when".

Personally I'm hoping for a Max Payne 3 case where it comes out a month or less after it releases on consoles, rather than the 8 months or so it took GTA IV to get to PC.

The amount of time it takes will determine whether I wait for a PC port or get it on PS3, since it's my most anticipated game this year I'm not going to wait too long.

Most likely, eventually, but I suspect it will be a long wait. There has been an effort to "Dark Souls" it through an online petition, though. We'll see if that works.madrocketeer

Of course it's acceptable. It's their product and they can choose to sell it or not sell it where they want. Do you feel entitled to GTA V on the PC? Do they somehow owe you something? No, they don't. Whether they choose to release it on PC or not, it is your choice to purchase it or not.

To me the above sounds like a subtle accusation, an attempt to imply I have double standards. If that wasn't your intention, my bad.

Also, I already stated how I find the PC delays annoying, and yes, I agree how GTA IV was a horrible port at release (even though it got fixed later on by a few mods and official patches). I love GTA, it's one of my fav game franchises, but I'm definitely not a R* fanboy, in case I left that impression. Read my posts again, the only praise I made directly towards R* is how they're one of the most consistent developers in the industry when it comes to quality, and going by the critical reception of their games, I'm correct.
