GTA: Vice City - To Buy or Not To Buy?

I'm having trouble deciding on if I should buy GTA Vice City for the PC. I see that they have it on sale for £5 on Direct2Drive (currently stuck over in the UK at the moment, so I'm stuck spending pounds instead of dollars). I'm considering picking it up alongside the Titan Quest bundle. I remember my friends talking about how awesome Vice City was back when it was in its heydey when it first came out.

However, I've never played a GTA game in my entire life. However, I've heard comparisons made between Saints Row and the GTA franchise on more than one occasion. I have played the first Saints Row before, and I REALLY enjoyed it.

So, my main question is, if I liked Saints Row, would I probably like Vice City as well?

You couldn't be more correct whether you play it on console or PC its a must play. Well it may not be the best because theres Metal Gear Solid. :P

Same here San Andreas had more things to do, but I think it was the lack of an atmosphere and non-memorable characters that took me out of it.

Vice City is the only GTA I ever finished.. I mean I don't think I bought everything or finished ALL the missions, but I finished most of it.. the main campaign n stuff. I really, really liked that game.. had it on PS2 and I was actually thinkin about getting the PC version as well. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Game is totally awesome all-around.. I spent a lot of time just cruisin the streets on my yellow motorcycle :D Reminded me of GTA 1, cruisin around in my open-top Jeep with the tunes blasting.

ENB Series mod will fix that up for you. If you can get the right config settings (might take some tweaking, or can find other peoples configs online) ENB makes Vice City look amazing. ENB Series link.

EVRYONE buy GTA:Vice City, It rox that much use the cheats to make the gameplay more fun the game i had for 3 years then it broke so i sold it to sum guy on the street LOL!!! Thanks, JakeJack2325

You can expect to see Vice City on best of 2003 Poll when I get around to doing it....

Quite possibly the best of the GTA games, if u get one, this maybe should be that one. Best on PC I believe as well.

Vice City is right up there with my favorite games better. Put it this way, it may not be a stand alone best for me, but I have never enjoyed/liked a game more.

All the GTA games are great in their own way but Vice City is the most fun of the lot.

iirc, a GTA3 complete boxset was released recently, right? get that instead if you can afford it. :)
