Looks very pretty.

Fingers crossed it will be as optimized as Max Payne 3 (which I think it will be).

It looks great. Even if its as Optimized as MP3, it'll still take a bit more grunt to run having alot more going on.

Can't wait, I doubt it, but I won't stop believing in a "close to console" PC release.

Got nothing to do in GTA 4 except story missions which are so repetitive, I miss the days of san andreas. At least SR3 got it right.

GTA IV was very underwhelming compared to SA. There was just nowhere near as much to do, so much of the fun stuff was stripped out. I'm cautiously excited about GTA IV. I hope it's more like SA and gets a decent port.

What kind of fun stuff? San Andreas was ok, but I hated the whole RPG type thing with ur character where you could make him stronger, faster etc. I also hated the whole territory control where I had to go and fight it out.

Well that's some of the stuff I was referring to. The minigames/events. Riding around on a bike, for no reason. The much larger map. Hell, you can't even hitch a trailer to a truck in GTA IV. :| Just the many small things that made the game more enjoyable, especially after the main story was completed.

I remember driving up a hill in the middle of nowhere when I discovered a dirt track race. It was awesome and things like this made the game so much more fun.

I miss bikes, hiking the mountains, playing games in the casinos, betting on horses, gang wars, etc.

Can't believe people actually liked gang wars, it was by far the worst feature in the entire GTA series, that + being forced to eat, to keep your strength and the invention of the telephone (since SA).

As for the word realistic being used as some kind of insult, I was under the impression that everyone had enough common sense to understand that GTA was, is and always be a more realistic experience with a few short and crazy experiences, it's been like that since GTA 1 and it never changed, all that changed were the stereotypes used to define each game which brings into discussion the only valid argument about the design of each game, some people hated the black CJ and that stereotypical environment and the rap "culture", some hated the eastern guy, Niko, some didn't even like the pretty cool Tommy.

yep feel the same way. although I feel parts of the SA map were very bland and not even worth visiting again.

Nothing is more boss then running down gangsters with a big ass tractor trailer. Just decimating everything in your path.

Realistic wasn't an insult, it was a description of why I'm not really interested at the moment. It's crazy to say that they have been mostly realistic since GTA 1. Do you not remember the conga line of Elvis impersonators and incredible jumps all around? In GTA3 it was more subdued but they still had the dodo plane. It's been a while, but I feel like there were more silly things. Vice City was like a love letter to Saturday Night Fever and you could buy up the city. So over the top. San Andreas had all that weird leveling up and mountain biking and jetpacks. GTA4 had a biker gang. I'll probably play it eventually, it's just that right now from the trailer and screenshots it strikes me as more GTA4 and that doesn't really get me excited.

I personally don't feel that those two screenshots are very telling at all. If anything, they're probably a little misleading. This obviously is not "in-game" screenshot material, not that I would think.

Also, I love the Grand Thef Auto series, so I'm not interested in the "HUR DUR MI GAM BETR DEN URZ, U SUX" argumentative rubbish. These pictures are nothing at all to be excited about. It basically just reaffirms everything we already knew.. They're developing GTA V OH EM GEE!!! But, we all knew that already anyway.

It's in game because that's how good GTA IV already looks (without mods), they just altered the water a little.

Max Payne 3 was fantastic, hopefully this can be more like GTA2(IMO the best GTA game) in the sense of being exciting to play... Excitement was something GTAIV lacked and I never found it so difficult to get past the second act of a game of such high quality, it clearly was, it just too often manages the player's attention very poorly, i.e it has a lot of pacing issues.

The colour palette is much prettier than GTA IVs, other than that there's not much to see here.

I don't have a doubt that GTA V will be the sandbox king this generation, I just believe in Rockstar getting everything right, listening to peoples complaints about GTA IV, and managing to pull off a SA of this generation with graphics and physics even better than GTA IV.

I couldn't agree more. Once I beat GTA IV.. I was like... okay, sell this... the online was less than intriguing... I played it on the 360 when it first came out.

The unfortunate thing about this game, and sandbox games alike, or any other "Great" game that is relased and generally comes with modding tools is that I'm going to wait for a while to play it and let the mods develop first. The wait will be boring, but it must be done if there are going to be mods. :D

Yeah, for the first 2....then it got into a boring minigame....

They see me rollin'

Bunny Hopping at max level :)

SA > GTA IV

I am not sure I liked the gang wars, but everything else aside from the (though not amazing) multiplayer of GTA IV was better in SA.

After seeing those images I still don't have a better idea of what the game will be like. Hopefully they took a page out of a the new Hitman game and made the a.i. better so not every cop in the city knows where I am because one cop saw me punch a guy that attacked me first.

Couldnt say it better myself, the characters sucked including your character. The missions were borring and repettive, the weapons were few and the vehicles handled like crap, no planes either.

MEH game, bring back sa and vice city.

Guess you played the wrong GTA4 version :(

GTA4 missions were the equivalent of MMORPG missions. Go from A to B, Collect this, kill that. There were a few genuis missions like the bank robbery but they were few and far between. It got really boring, really fast. The ballad of Gay Tony was far better than the original GTA4.

That's you, for me TLAD was terrible and TBOGT mediocre, I spent over 100 hours on GTA IV, I couldn't play even 8 hours of the DLC packs.

Uh, honestly, the story missions of SR3 sucked. Yeah, there are some really good ones, but there are a lot of really bland and dull ones. That and the fact that the story/writing sucked and the game was really short...
