Looking to replace my monitor. Currently have an older Asus mx279. It's decent, but I was looking to get either a nice 144hz or 1440p monitor. Possibly a 4k monitor even? Any suggestions?

Current PC Specs

I7 7700k O.C. 4.7ghz

16gb DDR4 3200

EVGA GTX 1080 superclocked gpu

Personally I think you should go for a 144hz 1440p monitor. To me playing at 144hz is way more satisfying than playing in 4k and trust me, 1440 is even still a great improvement over 1080.

@Nick3306: Agreed, and he would need to drop settings on most games to play at 4K on a gtx 1080 anyways.

@Nick3306: But ps4 pro playing 1440p native on some games is bad? (not to you but to other people that attack ps4 pro over resolution). :p
