GTX 260 core 216 vs SLI 8800GT's

I already have a 8800GT but I was wondering which would be better: a gtx 260 core 216 or 2 8800GT's in SLI?

Well, if you can get a cheap 8800GT, that's the better deal. But I would go with a single GTX260.

That Benchmark has nothing about running the 8800GT's in SLI:

But still, go with the single card, it's got less power draw, and there's no drawbacks of having SLI.

8800GT SLI isn't even on that benchmark. Since you already have a 8800GT I would just go SLI.

Well two 8800GT's in sli is nearly on par with old gtx260 in a few games the 8800GT's wins but the 260 for the most part out did them by a few frames. I would go with sli to save money and get nearly the same performance.

Would the SLI set up run bettert han the gtx 260 at 1680x1050?

It would depend on the game's ability to utilize both GPU's correctly. It's probably going to be better in the long run to get the GTX260.
