Gtx 280 sli or 4870 x2

i agree with him :D ^^^^ wait for the GTX 295, i was about to buy the hd 4780 x2 but then i seen that monster ( 295 ), this gen of graphics cards i thought amd had it in the bag but nvidia is coming back if the price of the 295 is competative with the amd cards :D so i would just wait an see what the 295 is all about :Dwii60own

From what ive seen when looking for new GPU recently the GTX280 in sli beats the 4870x2 but its marginal if your using 512mb cards but 1GB cards do have that slight lead.

Then again think price as well, 1 4870x2 will prob set you back around £300, 2 GTX280 1GB's is gonna be more like £700-£800 (uk prices) so is it really worth over double price for that bit extra performance???

If your an ATI fanboy get the 4870x2 but if you not fussy or are NVIDIA fanboy wait for the GTX295 its very likely going to be around £500-£600 at release but then again it should beat 4870x2 and GTX280 in sli if all goes well.

Choice is yours man, personally id wait for next gen if your wanting ultra performance, even if GTX295 sucks price of others will fall anyway.

Also what about 4870x2 in crossfire if thats possible?

GTX295 Or 4870x2 You chose btw what will be ur rig ? Core i7 ? DDR3x2GIG ? 1600mhz : X58 ? + Cpu cooler & new case ? marcthpro

I'm sticking with my build I think I'm just gonna wait on the gtx 295 not 100% sure. I wanna see if it runs all games well not just crysis and far cry 2 etc.
