Well im getting a MSI GTX 670 in my new PC and at the moment got a XFX5770 in this PC and wanted to no how big the upgrade was. Just phoned up CCL to order a brand new PC but went st8t frew to voice mail greeeeeeee
Got to wait to tomorrow now as we did leave a voice mail to phone us back and they shut at 18:30 greeeeeeeeee.
specs wise its a huge upgrade but reality wise the 670 will only be marginally better than the 5770. The 5770 plays pretty much every game out there on high settings as it is, and even getting a 670 will allow you to max everything out, but in reality the image quality difference b/w ultra and high isn't noticeable. I personally would wait it out untill the 5770 isn't able to play games at high settings at all and can barely play medium. That is still at least an year away and by then the geforce 7xx series will be out as well as teh radeon 8000 series.

I don't see why you would wait that long unless you're in some serious economical trouble.. besides, the 5000 series is old by now and the 5770 was never great to begin with.

Thanks all just wanted to no how big a upgrade it was. Left a message withh CCL to get back to us but if they dont get back to us im going to phone again tomorrow any way. Was getting nervouse and excited and they didnt pick up and went str8t frew to voice mail. Hate it when that happens greeeee.
I will proly never get 3 graphic cards but will get another 1 when price comes down to go sli. Is it true though that this type of card blocks the 3rd slot because its too big or is it the memory?. The memory im getting is RAM0336 Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB Kit. Ive heard something gets blocked so you carnt put something in?.

meh, there won't be a single visible difference in images of games when upgrading the 5770 to 670, since the 5770 can still play high settings 1080p just fine. I just see it as a waste of $$, and it would be more economical to wait until the 5770 plays games only medium settings and an upgrade would actually give you a difference that you can see. My 6950 i got for $230 canadian, I won't be upgrading it for at least another 2 years.

Kind of hard to decipher what you are trying to say, but... most cards are two slots and will likely not block the second card assuming you have the extra pcie 16x slots. Full size atx should not have a problem with the system ram blocking the videocard either, my card is 10.5 & I tried an 11in. (length) both were able to fit.
The gtx 670 is even smaller than mines I think.

since the price and performance were right. If I had a 5770 though, I wouldn't upgrade to anything higher YET, the card still has plenty of life in it. Still different people have different needs, so if the tc wants his games perfect then its his choice.

BS, I don't beleive this, 5770 is like 2-3 gen behind, rebranded 4xxx series.

It does but as soon as you turn on Anti-Aliasing on it shows its age and can not handle it. I have to have this set on as use application settings in the CCC. Also other dx11 settings in games i have to have on min settings.

Stop sharing uninformed opinions then. You could have spent .012 seconds on google to see that the 5xxx and 4xxx series are completely dissimilar.

I don't claim to know ever single thing about everything out there, and most of the freaking time AMD and NVDIA do freaking rebrand.
Did I call you an idiot for linking me raid cards that for most part can't even do raid full SSD bandwidth ?
