GTX280 Tri SLI vs 9800GX2 Quad SLI

I want to know which one is better for future gaming is it the 9800GX2 in quad SLI or the GTX280 Tri SLI?

GTX280 Tri SLI, but its VERY expensive :P.

GTX280 setup will run cooler so it'll be easier to OC allot higher than the 9800GX2 with some decent cooling.

the best setup for future gaming is option 3; buy 1 280 or 1 9800gx2, and wait for next-gen video cards (since 1 of either will max any game except for crysis).

But if you want to spend an extra 400 to max out 1 game, you can go ahead :o RICH BAST*RD!

Three GTX 280's beat every other GPU configuration right now in most games, even dual 4870X2's (which is mainly due to poor scaling on CF'd 4870X2's). The upcoming GT200b in tri-SLI should be better, though.
