Guild Wars 1 or 2

Which? Should i get both since number 1 has like 3 expansions or wait till number 2?

I played, loved, and lived the orginal + expansions and am hyped for 2. I would suggest getting the original since it is so amazing it just shouldn't be missed. I am thinking about startig up again soon to get hyped up even more for 2.

Guild wars 1, since you'd have to wait a few more years for GW 2.

Guild wars is a ok "mmo" if you can ignore all the 12yearolds. :) no i havent playd it in the past3 years....

Get Guild Wars 1 with all expansions, still a long time till Guild Wars 2 releases, so you should enjoy Guild Wars 1, and fill up your Hall Of Monuments :-)

GW1 is, by far, the best pvp mmo, when it comes to skill/builds/strats (imo). I havent played it in about a year, but noone should miss it.

gw2 has only been announced. not even a single screenshot.

they are probably building the engine still. they havent worked much on the game yet. as they started working after EOTN. I think it will be 2012 the earliest. and remember that gw1 and gw2 can connect. so people will still play gw1 after gw2 is out, because you unlock stuff in gw2, if you complete certain things in gw1.

Neither atm. GW 1 and all expansions is loosing players, everybody is leaving the game it gets boring, w8 few more years till GW 2 comes out. Meanwhile get another MMORPG, there are a bunch of them more interesting than GW. A great one is about to be released, it's called Aion, ever heard of it?ThomasMaster

No. I don't know what game you've been playing, but the population of GW does not seem to be diminishing. To OP i say pick it up. Grab the original and factions first, then move up from that. And as someone pointed out earlier, the original is only $10 on New Egg, great deal!

1 + expansions. The game is still very active and an absolute blast to play.

Im totally going to be bum,ping this thread. Aion looks amazing, made by the same folks as Lineage, def going to pick it up.

Get Guild Wars. it actually requires skill, not play time. Been playing for 2 1/2 years and loving it.
