Just a quick question on the beta client. What is "GW2.tmp" and "GW2.dat". It's just that I'm an bit OCD and I hate that it's cluttered on my desktop without any purpose if they have one. So are they needed for the beta client, or can I delete them? If they are useful, can I put them in another folder or does it have to be in the same folder that the launcher is in, because I have my launcher on the desktop. Thanks! :P

GW2.dat is the Guild Wars 2 data file. You can't delete that. GW2.tmp is prob. some temporary file that is important. And everything has to be in the same folder. Not sure if you can move it without acting funny, I think you can. But stick them together. Just make a shortcut.

Those files are absolutely needed. In fact, the gw2.dat IS the entire Guild Wars 2 download. If you remove those, then it will just start downloading the entire 13GB all overagain. The gw2.exe is just the downloader/patcher. But you're right, those files shouldn't be on your desktop. So yes, you can move them all to a separate folder, but yes, all files do need to be in that folder. My recommendation: 1. create a folder somewhere, for example C:\GuildWars2 or D:\GuildWars2 (make sure you have enough free space on that drive) 2. Move all the files, including the gw2.exe, to that folder 3. Right-click on the gw2.exe file in that folder and select Send To/Desktop (create shortcut)
