Guild Wars 2 Combat

Sometimes there will be an yellow bar in the middle of the screen. I think it shows up when combos occur. What does it represent? What happens when it changes thickness?

The yellow bar represents "casting time" or duration for abilities. A warrior that has a multiple slicing attack will have abar up that shows you how long he'll be attacking for, while an elementalist casting Meteor Shower will have abar showing how long it takes to have the fireballs start showing up.

When the bar changes thickness its an ability with both a cast time and a duration. Dagger elementalists have a dragon-like firebreath attack. The first 2 seconds have the thinner bar as a casting time and the thicker bar as the duration of how long you've been spewing fire.
