This looks pretty amazing. It would appear that ArenaNet has prospects of implementing features that other MMORPGs have yet to attempt. The developers also announced the Elementalist, who can cast some of the most beautiful spells I have ever seen in an MMORPG. The website also shows the combat system and how it is supposed to be skill-based and unique.

I have always thought that Guild Wars is a good game with a lot of potential, but it has been frequently looked down upon for being different. As an example, I have often heard the mentality of, "This is not what World of Warcraft does so therefore it is bad." I wonder how Guild Wars 2 will compare with other games in the end.

This sounds really cool, hope they can pull it off.

I always respected Guild Wars and its role in gaming, but I never liked it.

This, however, looks incredibly fun...I hope they take the PvE content a lot more serious than they did in previous installments.

Hmm...That Norn Race looks promising. Kinda reminds me of my forfathers, the vikings. =P

This is the only MMO I am looking forward to, hoping its more/equally as fun as WoW. Only think I hated about guild wars 1 was how it was all instance based (and REALLY hated that you couldn't jump lol) and they look to have fixed those two things. :)

Guild Wars was neat because it was so different from other games. It was refreshing to see a game be creative.

Guild Wars was neat because it was so different from other games. It was refreshing to see a game be creative.

part of the problem for me was that people were like "Ooooh Guild Wars is all about the PvP, dont bother with the PvE" and frankly they were kinda right in that regard (I mean they had an option to bypass levels 1-19 and just get to 20).

That is not what RPGs are about, but that's just my views. RPGs are about character development and questing imo. PvP should be a perk; not to say it cant be done well, but it should not be the focus.

Anyway, like I said I think Guild Wars is a good game and all, I just dont like the direction they took their new ideas.
