Guild Wars, a few questions...

I was at Wal-Mart today and noticed Guild Wars was only $25. I was going to buy it immediatly but thought I'd wait and find out a few things about it.

1. What are everyones general thoughts on the game?

2. Is their any ways I can purchase the game over the internet and download it to my computer?

3. I was reading a few things saying it isn't Mac compatible, has anyone found a way to play it on a Mac?

rather than install of the discs download it off there website via the client. it takes longer to instlal but will work with mac..i believe (dont quote me on this)

I am looking at the requirments and it says PC Required.

If its for prophecies only dont bother, get nightfall or factions so you can do alliance battles. i think you can get them for that price on steam

Guild wars is a great game I play it all the time. But it shouldnt be 25 dollars prophecies ie the first one should only be 20 dollars. And Im not sure if it works on mac my friend was wondering the same thing but if you get bootcamp it would probably work.

If you're going to buy it, get it from NCsoft.com or Steam to download digitally. There is also a trilogy pack for $30 so don't buy them separately or you'll get ripped off. The game doesn't work on Mac unless you get boot camp and buy Windows. Finally if you're into pvp GW is the best and most balanced, if you want pve get something else.

By the way I suggest getting the original (Prophecies) / Eye of the North Platinum Edition (they are bundled together) to start. Should keep you busy for a long time.

3 words, best game ever. Better then that disgusting game they call wow.

I have never played an MMO before, or even a pc game besides The Sims but I love RPG games.

1. I loved it for awhile its a great game and lasted me awhile it was well worth the money and me and friends come back to it occasionally all the time

2. Yes infact you can heres a link from the offical website that directs you to it i would reccomend buying the trilogy for a huge amount of content but if you do want a hard copy for a cheaper price you can buy the game on newegg for but a mere 10 bucks and the trilogy for a much cheaper $37 much cheaper than the retail prices and what your gonna get it for online

3. I dont know anything about macs but, if you plan to game on one you should be dualbooting or running bootcamp for sure
