Really?Twilight-Fox
its just his opinion, just read reviews of the game on different review sites.. even that doesnt tell you everything tbh.. if you like MMORPG's then just give it a try.
I remember playing SOF2 for a while and then i read a review of it and it was given around an 8 where i would have given it a good 9+. So reviews and some peoples opinion dont mean anything.
Its a okay mmo, but the only reason you would want to have it instead of other mmos like wow is by the fact that its free to play(you still have to purchase the game itself of course, just no monthly fees), its also very team-based, as the name suggests, you cant just go out and rely on killing small creatures to level up, your going to have to get in parties or buy mercs to survive the missions. Also its not a open-continous world, its split into levels, the cities are where every player is at, but once you leave a city, its only you and your party in your world, no one else out there cept npcs and monsters, you'll spend most of your time doing quests, as I remember it the game isnt as grindbased as wow, I think but I may be wrong here, you'll spend most of your time with your guild going on quests or chatting.
Its not much, go with another MMO such as WoW, or Conan or Warhammer when they come out, the game is only better than these mmos due to no montly fees, but its a dull experience, but to be honest its been a year or so since Ive played it, I might have gotten some things wrong, and they've updated the game with several expansion packs.

No it is not.
LOL, so since you think its not fun, I can't think its fun or the others that thinks its fun can't.
Hilarious!!!
Stop trying to defend your pathetic game. Its terrible.
Is it a fun game cause I might pick myself up a copy.Twilight-FoxGuild wars is sort of a love/hate kinda game. You should try the 10-day trial or whatever it is, and see if you like it. I think you can get the trial for each of the three campaigns.
I used to play Guildwars and I can tell you that at first, it doesn't seem that fun but as you progress it gets funner. I think it's a bit funner than WoW if you have a good guild although I've only played the WoW trial ( I have no desire to ruin my life). I would recommend you try the trials, if there are any, I cant remember.AnotherKill
There will ALWAYS be HATERS, so just try the game out for yourself. And if you do give it a try and you actually (GOD Forbid) like the game, if you ever need any help and/or pointers, I will try my best to help you out. Good Luck on your decision.
But I really recommend you at least give it a try.
I thought Guild Wars was very enjoyable, but if you don't find a good group of players to play with it can get old pretty fast. I did almost all of the quests solo with NPC heroes/mercs, and I did the missions with random groups of players, but the real fun (as the name suggests) is in doing things with your guild, and I could just never find a good one.
PvP is decent as well, but again if you don't have a group of people you know playing you sort of get stuck doing random arenas over and over and over which gets pretty old.
I've also played WoW and I like that a lot too, but it's hard to compare because I was actually playing WoW with a bunch of my friends from school.
I don't think you have anything to lose trying out Guild Wars, chances are you will at least enjoy it as long as a normal game before it starts to get boring. My advice is to buy Nightfall. I've heard it's the best campain, although it's the only one I've really played.
GW is a pretty cool game. Of course it is free online, so you actually own the game. PvP is its strongest point and is built alot better than other MMO's PvP. PvE isn't as great but I still prefer to play it over PvP. Though this is all opinion so... Try it if you'd like or not.
WoW kills it in everyway possible.--Rampage--
Oh?
Now Guild Wars wasn't my cup of tea, but anyone who's played both for any amount of time will tell you Guild Wars has far better PvP. World of Warcraft's PvP is simply a pathetic mess of class/talent imbalances and gear gaps between players widened by the huge amounts of time one has to invest in the game. Skill just plays too little a part in the outcome of PvP confrontations, particularly outside the arena.
