hello everyone. I was just wondering how many Guild Wars players there are here? I got it a few weeks ago but only really just started playing it properly. Just wondered how popular it is.
Thanks!

wow over 3,000! thats alot! but what happens once you reach level 20? some say thats when the game begins. is that true?>kezlehanYEa, reaching lvl 20 is NOT the goal. So don't think once you reach lvl 20, that thats it. Add my name "Blind Aggression" to friends list. Whenever you see me on, just PM me.
I took a break for a long time.. Though I really want to get back into playing.. If you guys got a guild or a group of people that you play with I would love to start pvping agian.. I have all expansions.. My two main characters are D/W, and W/N. Mainly, though my dervish is a Monk right now due to the 130hp build I made for farming greens.
My two characters names are Hades Sobek
And Deimos Moon
What people mean by the game starting at level 20, is thats when all the PvP action begins. The PvP is arguably the best part of the game.
oh and nice sig MattUD1

You won't get any arguement from me. PVP, has some great versitility, and excellent matchups.

The only thing I don't like about PvP is that I lag like hell occasionally. And thanks.

I really enjoy creating a character and seeing what skills work well and leveling up to. But ya once you reach lvl 20, that is when the real fun begins.
I have Prophecies and NightFall and 2 level 20's.. the gam is amazing but the only thing that makes me mad is the loading screens between every town and outdoor training areas. I mean, If you dont have a decent computer then dont buy this game but if your computer is really fast and in tip top condition then I suggest you get it.

Sounds like someone needs an upgrade BAD! :)
My ingame name (I have 9 chars=9 names, but, I use this char the most) is "Jade Arrowhead". Add me to your friends list. That is my ranger (my favorite char to PVP with).I'm going to be a Guild Wars player as of tomorrow! Its also going to be my first PC game in 3 years.
Can anyone tell me how easy it is to find someone in town to go questing with me?And are the people friendly or eejits like GoW players?

yep it sure does dmn_fox. I just wondered if anyone could tell me how long the game lasts for and how many hours I can expect to be playing it? kezlehanmy first time through i spent about 100hours on prophecies, but thats without skipping cutscenes or anything and taking it all in, you ould easily do it in 50-100hours or even less if you skip missions...which i dont advise btw
but yeah i play guild wars every day and have done so for 1 1/2 years now XD i love it.
Ya know, I bought Nightfall and a 14 day WoW Trial. I picked up Nightfall, played it for an hour and...Well, a couple hundred hours of WoW later, but seriously, after playing Wow Guild Wars Just seems to lack something for me, although I'm probably going to buy Eye Of The North, just becuase I support NCsoft, By the way. I have 4 level 20s(Necro, Warrior, Ranger, Ritualist) on GW and a level 40 on Wow, realized how much of a waste of time Wow is xP InSoMnIaK604that happened me for a few months. I picked up the wow 10 day trial thing and started to love the game so i bought it and played it for a few months totally forgetting about guild wars. But the thing is, I got bored of WoW after 200hours because you always feel kind of anxious to play it, to get your monies worth. So i quit my wow subscription and went back to good old gw :)

I'm going to add you to my friends list if you dont mind.
Just wondering but how is the hero thing? I never got nightfall since i abondened the game at factions, but are the hero things popular or needed at all? Oh and another question, does europe still keep the favor of the gods 99% of the time or is on americas side now? Id really like to play again actually but i quit since i could never go to that hell place .
Got it back in Christmas 05, and still playing fairly regularly (more than ever, actually).
^^To the above poster:
Heroes are very useful, but not exactly needed. They're kinda like kick-arse versions of henchmen, and you can control most of their actions/skills, but they're still not as good as a party of real people.
Oh, and if you're really having trouble entering the Underworld/FoW, either change your district to Europe, or buy/find a Passage Scroll, which will let you in even if you don't have favour.

Don't be a chicken! Hell isn't that scary! :)
But with heros....after you've used em once, you will hate henchmen even more...Got it back in Christmas 05, and still playing fairly regularly (more than ever, actually).
