Guild wars should i get it?

hi everybody

i was thinking about picking up guild wars since it has a good score and it looks good; just wanted an opinion from all of you!:P

could you also tell me if its battle system is like wow?? thank you

Guild Wars just came out with their final expansion, and will be giving way to Guild Wars 2 before long. Personally, I'd wait. It's a good game, but like with any other MMO (some people don't consider it that) you'd have a lot of catching up to do.

At Best Buy it will be $10 on Black Friday if you live in the US.

Guild Wars 2 won't come out till the end of 2008, that's a long wait.

And Oblvion is a single player game...don't know why you would recommended that to someone asking about an online game.

GET THE GREATEST MMORPG OF THIS TIME PERIOD...WoW.....haha joking i'd kill myself before i played that game ever again :O

Guild Wars will make you feel as happy as if you just got Laid :D...or still getting laid bwahahhaha but yea

This friday...get Guild Wars Prophecies...if its still available at like..a walmart or something..get factions and nightfall..and than if your good with all 3 of them get Eye of the North you will be Pretty happy...

Mmmmmph... In one word: No. Don't buy Guild Wars. There are plenty of other MMO/RPGs out there that you can be playing and having a better time doing so. GW story mode is atrocious and PVP is fun for only about a month of two. The series is dead anyway since theres no more expansions coming out. I'd just wait it out 'til GW2 if you're aching to play some GW.Village_Green

You have a right to your opinion but to say the series is dead is TOTALLY untrue. :roll:

Well i got it, and loved it..for 2 weeks...if you want a game where you lvl way up and get amazing items and stuff, iw ouldnt get it. Its very fun at first but gets boring quick, atleast to me. I dont suggest WoW either over this. Ive been playing free MMO's that outdue both of those games lately. =P


I played oblivion for 3 days and quit, wow what a useless game. Lets swing the sword back and forth until someones eventually dies, yay!!

U know i think its funny, i think most ppl that say these kinda things dont really truly experience the game, but hey everyone experiences games in their own ways.
