Hi

I've got all 3 versions of the game and I was wondering the best way to play..My idea was to play through the Campaigns starting with prophecies ..Just doing PVE and trying PVP when I finish them..Then again I was wondering about starting with Nightfall first and going backwards...Any advice to get the most enjoyment out of the game would be appreciated

Tom

do whatever u feel like doing. dont limit ureself to just one aspect of the game. personally im a PVE person mostly but i slog it out for a few rounds of PVP every now and then (though im not great at it :P).

from a story poin of view going in sequence would be better. there are little references in the later chapters which my spoil parts of the older ones (though nothing to completly ruin the story really.

from a gameplay standpoint it might be better to start with nightfall. that way u get heros (henches u can equip and customise) that u can bring to the other campaigns. perhaps finishing the training island and then heading straight back to prophicies migh be an option.

but whatever suits....its up to u. whatever u do...ull probably have alot of fun doing it :D.

I am not a big fan of prophecy.. The story is so piece mealed I don't under stand why people think its some how better then other two campaigns.. Not only does it do a complete 180 changing what you expected it to be, that you would go back to your home land and destroy the Charr threat.. But nope you infact just follow some crazy tract all around to kill some big dude that controls a sceptor of some sort.. And not to mention you lose the only narration/guide to the game very early on fully giving you real point of reason to move on if he dies.. Then suddenly he pops up randomly later on because the people who mdae the campaign ran out of ideas..

Nightfall is 10x better not to mention makes sense and is far moer enjoyable.

Well Factions was by far the easiet to get done.

I completed factiosn and gave my gold and items to my Nightfall and Prophecy chars to help them along.

And PvP is always a very fun distraction. Doing the faction battles is always a good way to kill some time.

My personal favourite way to play is get a nice group of people an wander around doing quests. (A feat that is impossible in GW 99% of the time).

I'd highly recommend you go in order as well. Prophecies - Factions - Nightfall. Its best that way in terms of story and previous-chapter references.

As far as PvE and PvP...it depends on what you enjoy. You should play some PvE first to get the hang of the game, and then you are free to create a PvP only character at any time and jump it. Or you can finish the PvE campaigns and take that character into the fight instead.

Dont limit yourself. Play the campaign you feel like playing, otherwise you might get burnt out.

Also you may find yourself stuck in a particular mission because not enough people are doing it to help you. If you plan to be adamant about finishing the campaign that one mission may get you pretty frustrated. Play what you feel like playing, especially if you just want a change of scenery.
