Nope, they just have said that GuildWars 2 will have a level cap of 100+ (or even no level cap).

one of the things I loved about GW is the level cap.  It meant I could do something else for a few months comeback and still pwn people.

As far as we know, the level cap will be seriously raised in GW2, there may even not be one at all. But it will be mainly for bragging rights, your character won't grow any more powerfull past a certain point. So the PvP will remain well balanced !

Wow, It would be sort-of wierd having no lvl cap at all.  They should increase the lvl cap, but it will certainly change the gameplay.

ya eotn will be just an area to explore for the lvl 20's. that is the whole expansion and it also will bridge the storyline between gw and gw2. also gw2 isn't due out til 2009-2010 but the beta will b in 2008 :) .

Sorry, but I heard the PC Gamer issue that talked all about this stuff and I don't know where you got your info, but it never once said anything about once you reach a certain lvl, you wouldn't get any stronger. So PLEASE stop spreading rumors.

At the moment the GW2 cap hasnt been decided and on the whole after your a certain level you wont get any stronger just bragging rights thats the way they look like they are going and the more titles, achievements ect you have on GW the more you earn through the hall of monuments through GW2.

-.- Those complaining about the lv. cap in GW are aware that its that low for a reason. It helps balance the gameplay out in PvP so you will never end up with a lv. 48 fighting a lv. 101. Now Naturally if this lv. 48 was fighting a lv. 101...who would win? the lv. 101 just because he spent more time in the game. Arenanet wanted the game to be more on player skill rather than on input of hours and your '1337' gear.

Actually, I believe that part was confirmed by one of the devs. And it's not that levels will be meaningless after a certain point, they just won't give as direct an advantage after that point. I rather like the idea of not having a level cap, but making it so that leveling endlessly won't make your character overpowered. Solves the problem of idiots complaining about the level cap, and it avoids destroying one of the things that makes the game great.

Bragging rights might be fun but if ANet decides to also increase the power of your char as you level, they better keep that feature for PvE only.
