As far as we know, the level cap will be seriously raised in GW2, there may even not be one at all. But it will be mainly for bragging rights, your character won't grow any more powerfull past a certain point. So the PvP will remain well balanced !

Sorry, but I heard the PC Gamer issue that talked all about this stuff and I don't know where you got your info, but it never once said anything about once you reach a certain lvl, you wouldn't get any stronger. So PLEASE stop spreading rumors. As far as we know, the level cap will be seriously raised in GW2, there may even not be one at all. At the moment the GW2 cap hasnt been decided and on the whole after your a certain level you wont get any stronger just bragging rights thats the way they look like they are going and the more titles, achievements ect you have on GW the more you earn through the hall of monuments through GW2.

Actually, I believe that part was confirmed by one of the devs. And it's not that levels will be meaningless after a certain point, they just won't give as direct an advantage after that point. I rather like the idea of not having a level cap, but making it so that leveling endlessly won't make your character overpowered. Solves the problem of idiots complaining about the level cap, and it avoids destroying one of the things that makes the game great.
