I'm an old gamer in my 60's...any guilds for old guys such as me and would the game be suitible..(Immersive)......:)

Can't say since im only 16, but what I can say is I have been very pleased with my time in Guild Wars 2 and would definitely recommend it to anyone enjoys having a good ol' time play mmorpg's.

It's a VERY immersive game. The world is gorgeous and alive, and the characters too. I'm nearly 35 and love the game.

Don't know about that server, but thing is with most RP Servers people don't RP. That's been my experience anyway with different MMOs.

Really? Cool, every MMO RP Server I've been on is just people talking normally like "LFG BD 2MAN HEALER" etc. Might have to swap over. I really want to get back into GW2 but I want to build a new PC first so I can see it in all it's glory (my current PC struggles with it).

If anything, what's great about the GW2 community is that people act on neutral grounds to the point where players mingle and play alongside each other fairly well no matter the age group. If im doing an event alongside someone really chill about things, 21 years old, 40 years old, 50 years old--age doesnt really matter. As long as they're fun to play alongside with (no matter the personality - witty, collected, energetic, down-to-earth etc.), it's the benefit of a friendly community.

Go to Tarnished Coast or Piken Square if RP is your thing for that little extra immersion. If not, you'll find a friendly community on every server, as with 'mature' players.

You might just enjoy it, have you had any experience with hotkey based more traditional MMOs? It's a great game too, the best the formula as been in my opinion. Great sense of camaraderie with random payers, something that I have found lacking in many other MMORPGs.

:Q_ Sadly I'm stuck in a server with my brother and his guild mates from SWTOR -_- For the TC, don't try to rush to lvl 80. Side quests take a few minutes and are diverse enough to be enjoyable, hell even each NPC SQ has 2 or 3 different objectives like kill bandits put out fires and feed the cows. Then you have a gorgeous map which just by looking is reward enough, but actually completing everything, the above mention side quests, points of interest and waypoints (which you only need to approach), vistas (jumping puzzles) and skillpoints you get greatly rewarded with xp and other goodies. Speaking of xp, everything you do gives xp, if someone is attacking an NPC you can help finish it off, you get xp and loot chance just like him, there's no competition in PVE. Then you have map events, this "randomly" occur, it can be a giant for example attacking a settlement, you can drop by an start attacking as other players do the same, sometimes you get dozens of people coming together and naturally working together specially in dragons, no LFG for 4 hours if you're "DPS". It's often say there isn't a lot of strategy in GW2, but thats only because the game was made so every player can be self sufficient, you're not depending on someone to heal or tank or dps for you, you can manage all that. But even so, look up on youtube GW2 4 vs 30 and decide for yourself if there's strategy in this game or not. Aiming for 100% map completion should always be on your mind, doing so you'll naturally level, for gear just gather everything and sell on the Black Lion Trading Company (Auction House, Galactic Trade Market) for max profit this should secure you enough money for exotic gear, I've been playing for 3 months almost 300 hours an I have 2 full sets and some 30 gold to spare by playing like this. If you are worried about grinding, don't, nearly the only thing you have to grind for are Legendary weapons and dungeon gear. Legendary weapons are skins only, there's exotics with the same stats so besides the look there's no reason to grind for them, no combat advantage what so ever. As for dungeon gear, 1 week is enough to get a full armor set and with a couple of weapons. Then you have PvP, there all the gear is skins with the same stats for everyone, you win not because you have the best gear, you win because you have the skill. In WvW the gear does matter, but because it's battles with dozens of payers you can enjoy it from a low level. For 60 bucks or less its a great deal, not to mention events like the Halloween and xmas one and monthly updates, it does feel like the game is alive and ever changing, it's hard not to get your money's worth in this game.
