Guilty Pleasures:Games you love but are secret

What are pc games that your really like but you don't talk about because the responses to them are usually , "It sucks", "That is so ugly",ect.

For me I really like Quake wars,HL2 DM,and BF 2142 but most people I know say the games are rediculously ugly or just are not that good.(I am a big fan of ID and HL2 DM with some of the custom puzzle maps are really fun).

What about you?

Well, it's no secret, but I love Kane and Lynch, already beat the game 5 times, and it's easily 8.0-8.5 in my book, I'm glad that they fired Jeff...

I play religiously also, HL1 mutliplayer, really fun.

I agree, Quake Wars is a very good game, I personally like it way more than BF 2 and similar games and it looks very good (not ugly like some people imply :|)

Eternal Fighter Zero

A great game that people have absolutely no idea about.

Everquest 2. Most MMO players think it sucks, but mainly ones who've never played it, and only played WoW. In the PvE department, I'd say EQ2 probably trumps WoW easily. But overall I'd say WoW is the better game. PvP in EQ2 is pretty awful, IMHO.

I still play and love Dungeon Keeper on a £700 performance custom rig bought this spring.

I get verbally abused (exaggeration) when I'm discovered playing 10-20 year old games upstairs on my old CRT monitor, while MGS4 and GTAIV lie neglected downstairs next to the the PS3 and 46" LCD TV.

Fifa 08 and UEFA 2008.

What can you do if you love this sport.

Bioshock and Oblivion though I don't like them for what they did to the series I do like them as individualy highly polished action games with a nice world to explore.

*attempts not to incur spell "Wrath of Fatshodan"* I do think they ran away from the series the only problem was I never played those series so I have an excuse to enjoy the games as they we're made even if they didn't live up to standards of the series.

That's funny. I personally don't care about the wrath of Fatshodan. I liked both those games and I played SS2 and morrowind before. People that have problems with games because of preconcieved ideals carried that baggage in with them. I take each game on its own merrits. Not to say I don't get dissapointed (NWN2) but I don't blame it on the previous game.

Well I suppose that it's not really a secret around these forums, but I really do love the original Halo.

What can I say? I was a console gamer that later saw the light [PC gaming].

Even with that being said, it still holds a dear place in my heart and I'll get online and pwn some n00bs every once in a while. ;)

I dont buy crap games, so I wouldnt consider any of them crappy, or atrocious. Maybe, out of the ordinary, or not popular, but I like Sin of a Solar Empire. Not that popular, but it's quite fun. You can get really lost in that game, playing hours on end.

Well it got really bad reviews and wasn't that popular, but I liked Rise and Fall: Civilizations At War. Though I don't play it anymore.

I'm also a big fan of the Sims which most people seem to think is kind of weird.
