Guitar Rising!

Guitar Rising is a game that uses any real electric guitars, but plays like guitar hero.

Looks like fun.

It's still in early stages though, and probably won't be out till end of 2008/early 2009

This looks amazing and fun. I can't wait.

EDIT: I say this because I never got around to learning how to play guitar, but this seems like a great way to do it.

It will still be a game. I don't expect any people to actually be amazing.

Problem is, I don't know how it will work to recognize multiple notes (chords/power chords).

I have an awesome sound card, but who knows how it will do. I suspect the mic in will be worse than USB.

Definately interested in this one.

My hopes: Is that is even more fun than Guitar Hero, and I actually learn how to play my real guitar! ;)

LOL I played Guitar Hero 3 for the first time ever over the weekend at a friends house and I said "This would be so much better with a real guitar". Who'da thought it.

Awsome, can't wait for this. It'll actually make me dust off my old guitar and plunk badly on it again.

Funny....posted this exact same link yesterday and 3 people read it (and of the 3, only one bothered to click the link).

But like I said in the other post, it would be awesome. And not just for the game aspect of it. This would be a great tool for teaching guitar.
