a dude named "OPB" submitted his cpu overclocking results to cpu-z and set a RECORD

the intel core i7 2600k SB in an asus maximus formula IV on air sent his cpu over many LN2 solutions!

sending his cou riproaring up to 5.865ghz!

this thing is bleeding along in a cpu fan and board and OPB strictly by accodent now has a record that just incredible.. imagine LN2 results..

10ghz O.o

OPB aka OnePageBook has been shamed in the overclocking community due to cheating btw.

Follow the link at the bottom of that article to the source to see his progress - those figures are crazy when you realise it is just on air. By page 4 of the thread though he says he has hit his limit for air, and attaches some other extreme cooler - not quite sure what it is, apart from being able to drop the temp from +19C to -51C. And he also posted his original i7 @7GHz Crazy figures

bojangles were you on whan the dude broke the 3d mark score for a 460 1gb oc?

if not his card was running so hot that after running 3d mark 2011 he bruned a hole through his PCB. literally the LN stopped being able to cool it and the card burnt up
